This new system of developing plates without the need for using chemicals has several advantages, most notably the environmental benefits. Thermal plates are output in the normal way but are then developed on press thus eliminating harmful chemistry used in conventional platemaking.

As television and DVD technology has been revolutionised by HD and Blue Ray, a similar development has been taking place within print in the way images are reproduced. Our repro software incorporates a hybrid system which enables us to print a mixture of stochastic and conventional screening.

The dot formation in stochastic screening is imaged as a random pattern rather than the regular pattern of conventional screening. This has a number of benefits – much sharper definition can be achieved producing a more realistic image with greater contrasts; screen clash, or moiré effects, are avoided; colour consistency is optimised.

Fuji's Liso system is a mixture of stochastic dot formation in the extremes of high and low ink density with a conventional formation in the mid-tonal areas, producing an ideal combination for all high definition print.

We can print your extra colours (metallics, corporate spot colours etc) and a machine seal all in one pass; or we can print four process colours on both sides of the sheet at the same time. This means that your machine time is halved, saving you both time and money.
